Blake's were recently contacted by Hertsmere Borough Council, who needed to upgrade the Access Control System at their offices in Borehamwood - without causing disruption to their neighbours.
The job required us to remove an outdated closed protocol system and replace it with a new open protocol one. The specification called for a Paxton Net 2 System with Pro Software, an ID card printer and 1,000 ID cards.
To cause as little disruption as possible to the staff at the council, we ensured the old system was still working during the upgrade. It's something we do to maintain the security of the building and allow people to go about their day as usual - as if we aren't there!
The new Paxton system for Hertsmere Borough Council
The new system included the following equipment:
The Hertsmere Borough Council had a particularly unique site as they also share offices with Borehamwood Police Station and an NHS Clinic.
Naturally, we kept disruption to a minimum for the surrounding businesses too.
As part of this project we had to link the new Paxton system to the following third party equipment:
We also provided training to the HR Department as they needed to distribute the new ID cards, access permissions and door groups to the rest of the staff whilst the new system was being installed.
Whether you need a brand new Access Control System installation, or an upgrade to keep your security measures up to scratch - Blake's have got you covered.
