Blake Electrical was started by Ian Blake as a sole trader in 1979 and later he was joined by sons, Simon and Martin.
When
Blake Contractors Ltd was formed in 2001 to reflect the addition of the growing
Building division, fire alarms and emergency lighting was always a service offered as part of the
Electrical department.
In 2002, changes in legislation around the regular maintenance of systems made it apparent that there was a need for a full
commercial and
home security department, offering intruder / burglar alarms, CCTV installation and access control and gate automation. We also developed departments for fire and emergency lighting.
From our HQ in Southend-on-Sea, our trained and highly qualified staff design, install and maintain standalone or integrated security systems for homes and businesses across Essex, London and the South East. Read more about our

Blake Fire & Security Systems have been installed at homes of all shapes and sizes plus commercial premises, including factories, shops, offices, local council buildings, a theme park, public houses, nursing homes, schools and colleges.
