How can I keep my staff safe from intruders?

Every employer has a duty of care to their workforce, and everyone wants to feel safe at work. A professionally designed commercial alarm system allows your personnel to come in but keeps unauthorised intruders out!

Portable or fixed panic buttons can be added to intruder alarms to help protect vulnerable/lone workers. These will trigger the sounders and alert the Police via the ARC monitoring station.

How can I keep burglars from stealing my stock/equipment?

Every business owner wants to protect the goods and equipment on the premises. Blake Fire & Security Systems design and install systems to keep unwanted intruders out and your stock safe. We can install a zonal system that protect vulnerable areas while permitting free movement elsewhere – deterring the opportunist thief.

Will this reduce my insurance premiums?

Perhaps... however, some insurers will insist on NSI/NACOSS, or SSAIB approved companies to design and install commercial alarm systems and may insist on monitoring.

Do I really need a maintenance contract?

To avoid false activations and malfunctions, we highly recommend a maintenance contract. It’s the equivalent of a service for your car and saves you money in the long run - emergency callouts are much more expensive without a contract and it can help you avoid downtime in your business!

Should we have a monitored system?

Sadly, the majority of burglar alarm activations are ignored. That's why commercial alarms from Blake Fire & Security Systems are fitted with signalling from either BT Redcare or Dualcom. If your alarm is activated, a signal is sent from your premises to our NSI Gold Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), Southern Monitoring. This means your property is monitored 24/7 and 365 days per year. Your keyholders and the Police can be notified to respond in case of an emergency.

Will the Police come?

Because false alarms waste Police resources, the police will only respond to trustworthy activations. The first step to being considered reliable is to use an appropriately approved company to install, maintain and monitor your system. Blake Fire & Security Systems can take care of all this for you so your premises are truly protected.

What about Key Holders?

To qualify for a full Police response, there need to be at least two Key Holders. These need to be contactable and trained to operate the system.
