The Blake Group is proud to show off the new training room at our HQ in Southend-on-Sea, Essex - completed shortly before Christmas 2016.
This allowed us to hold our first in-house Emergency Lighting training session!
Keeping all our engineers up to date with the latest procedures means we can continue to offer a first-class service.
Previously, everyone had to travel across the country to take part in training courses at other venues.
With our own in-house facility, we can invite trainers to come to us - cutting out the large amounts of time that our engineers are out of the office. This means that our training has a smaller impact on our service to you.
Not only that, but the room is also available for our customers to use upon request! Contact us to find out how you could use it for your training events.
Previously, the training room was mainly used for storage and had become rather neglected.
So we started a project to upgrade it to a state of the art training facility.
The new cupboards and sink, installed by a team at Blake Contractors, give the room ample storage with a neat, contemporary look.
Our Electrical Department upgraded the electrics and lighting so now the room has plenty of plug sockets to power laptops, tablets and our large interactive HD smart screen.
The tap and fridge keeps everyone hydrated, so all attendees can concentrate on the training at hand!
While we're incredibly happy with the results, it wasn't all about making the room comfortable...
Our Emergency Lighting and Fire Alarm Systems teams ensured the room was Fire Safety Risk Assessed and fitted with the latest safety tech, all seamlessly integrated with the building's current systems.
Our Access Control and Burglar Alarm teams played their part too, installing a stylish Fob access system and PIRs for burglar detection - again both easily integrating with the systems that were already in place.
All the comfort in the world is worth nothing if your building isn't safe and it's the Responsible Person's job to ensure that it is.
