Blake's are proud to have safeguarded over 200 schools in the South East. We are passionate about keeping young people safe! That's why we were thrilled when a local Southend-on-Sea high school contacted us again to address their fire safety concerns after a new block of classrooms was built...
They wanted to extend their fire alarm system to cover the new build with a touch screen control panel. They also wanted Visual Alarm Devices for the hearing impaired. Our one stop shop got straight to it!
After talks with different manufacturers and the customer, we found the best option. This would fully comply with the current British Standards for Visual Alarm Devices (VADs). The system utilises 4 loops and over 200 devices.
The control panel looks sleek and modern to fit with the surroundings. The Touch Screen Display means the client is able to use the system easily. All the information shown is clearly readable and a log of events can be scrolled through with a swipe of the touch screen.
The Visual Alarm Devices make sure that deaf or hard of hearing students and visitors are immediately warned in the event of an emergency. As well as the usual siren sound, these use lights to signal an alarm so everyone knows to follow the fire procedure.
Once everything was installed and thoroughly tested, our engineer left the area clean and tidy ready for the grand opening.
Blake's are NSI Gold and SSAIB accredited so you can be sure we are up to date with all the regulations! We supply all the compliance paperwork you need and our school engineers are DBS checked. Whatever the size of the job, we take ALL the worry away!
