The business manager and site team at a school in the London Borough of Havering approached us.
They were looking for a certified company to maintain their Fire Doors. To ensure they remained compliant.
COMPLIANT FIRE DOORS NEED REGULAR MAINTENANCE
Maintaining and ensuring the function and compliance of door sets is a crucial part of fire safety.
The School needed a certified company to:
Put in place a structure to ensure that all doors were inspected.
Inspect the doors.
And carry out any work needed to ensure compliance.
USING THE BM TRADA CHECKLIST
We started this project by implementing a system and referencing this on a floor plan.
We used this to conduct a Fire Door Survey under BM Trada. And we followed their 22 point checklist to generate a report for the client.
The Site Team gave us the go-ahead to carry out the repairs needed.
We then followed BM Trada's accepted repair techniques.
Repairs were recorded, keeping that golden thread of information going.
WHAT THE CUSTOMER SAID
Blake's worked with the School's Site Team to carry out all the work during the summer holidays.
The school was very pleased with the works carried out.
And Blake's continue to follow the BM Trada system for inspecting and maintaining their fire doors.
