For Castle Point Borough Council, this particular watercourse was a big issue.
It had a tendency to flood in winter and cause lots of problems. However, the only way to see whether the drain was behaving required an engineer to check in person - up to 4 times a day!
After contacting us about this problem, we created a solution that saved them time and money.
We knew the situation needed a wireless CCTV camera as there was simply no way to get a cable to run from the office to the watercourse.
There was no WIFI signal close to the drain, so we decided to connect to the main office via a mobile internet connection.
This wireless technology allowed the Council to view the situation at the watercourse from the comfort of their own office or, on the go, via their smart phones.
With this relatively simple wireless camera set-up, we helped the Council to save both time and money.
