Burglar Alarms: Apart from the fact that it is a requirement for your insurance to have a maintained intruder alarm system, the most significant benefit of a maintenance contract is the peace of mind from knowing your alarm will work correctly in your time of need.
If you have either our Bells Only or Maintenance & Monitoring options, you will benefit from a reduced waiting time and a lower charge for emergency call outs if a fault should occur.
Our maintenance contract customers are also notified of any changes in legislation that may affect them or their system.
They can also take advantage of our Key Holder service. Choose from PAYG or an annual fee to have Blake's personnel respond to any activations and conduct any repairs at the time (where possible) or the following day. Read more here about commercial burglar alarm maintenance.
Maintenance by a suitably qualified, approved company, such as Blake Fire & Security Systems, is a compulsory for guaranteed Police response. As an NSI Gold company, our work is to the highest possible standard and approved by your insurance company and the Police. Read more about Police response
Fire Alarms: The British Standards recommend that your Fire Detection and Alarm System is maintained by a competent company twice a year (sometimes four times a year in special circumstances). All work by Blake Fire & Security Systems is carried out to the BAFE Scheme SP203 which ensures compliance to British Standards and all our service engineers are DBS checked to an Enhanced level.

Some security companies like to lock clients into extended maintenance contracts. We don’t do that at Blake Fire & Security Systems. Our contracts are strictly on a rolling 12-month basis.
If you cancel one of those long term contract early, you may be liable for outstanding payments for years to come!
Our engineers are quick yet thorough. A maintenance visit will last 30-60 minutes for domestic calls and upwards of an hour for commercial clients.
A Blake Fire & Security System is of the highest standard so they tend to be very reliable. But if something does go wrong, we’re on hand to get your alarm up and running, as soon as possible.
If there are serious problems with your system in the first 12 months of installation, there is no charge.
Your maintenance contract does not include any repairs outside of the service visit but we will ensure you get rapid preferential response even out of hours. Our well-stocked service vans should be able to fix most issues but, if not, we’ll get the job done pronto.
Your security is a priority. To ensure your system complies with the Law and both British and European standards our managers and engineers attend regular training.
We're NSI Gold approved to provide security system maintenance, so your system will comply with Police requirements to qualify for a Police response. Insurance companies often insist on NSI or SSAIB approval before agreeing to cover you.
