I started my career as a test technician working for an electronics company who built medical equipment. Whilst working at the company I gained my O.N.C and H.N.C in electrical / electronic engineering.
In 2004 I changed jobs and became a field service engineer for a company who designed and installed ship management systems on all manner of vessels ranging from commercial to super yachts, meaning I travelled a lot around the world.
I started my career in the security industry in 2005, becoming a service engineer working on Access Control, CCTV and Door Entry Systems around Essex and London and also working for some of my company’s most important clients, including Essex Police and Essex Fire Service.
In 2008 I joined Blake Fire & Security Systems as the
Access Control Manager. Since then, my department has grown and our work has also expanded from just access control and
door entry to include
powered doors, gates and barriers.
Our client base is very varied meaning that no one day will be the same. I am responsible for quotations, design and installing of the systems and making sure that the client is happy with the end result. I also provide onsite technical support to my engineers
