From small beginnings as a sole trader starting Blake Electrical in 1979, I have grown
Blake Contractors into a one stop shop for Building & Electrical services – so you don’t have to project manage a range of different tradesmen. We can do everything in house.
We gained our first accreditation with NICEIC back in 1981 because I realised how important it was differentiate ourselves from the many unqualified alternatives.
In 2001,
Blake Electrical became Blake Contractors Ltd and in 2002 our Fire & Security Systems department began offering a full security service as an SSAIB accredited provider. This was followed by the Rolls Royce of security certifications - NSI Gold - in 2005.
I see Blake Fire & Security Systems as the antithesis of the jack of all trades. We have individual specialists for each of the different fire and security requirements at
domestic and
commercial properties. As well as working with many businesses, the team specialise in helping schools to fulfil on their duty of care requirements for the safety of their pupils.
If any fire or security jobs require additional electrical or building work, our one stop shop can handle this in house without having to employ third parties.
Our company ethos - dedication to accreditation - derives from over three decades of cleaning up the fallout from unqualified advice. If we are not qualified to do it, we do not offer it as a service! Simple.
When I'm not troubleshooting complex building / electrical / fire and security projects, I am a keen runner.
